The New York Daily News link goes to articles published in 2004. They still seem oddly relevant today.
Anyway, what startles me about this is how the newspapers report it-- each one reports the incident very differently, with different biases at play.
I think they should just say the women were "wilding" and let them go with a slap on the wrist. It's what they do for roving gangs of men who harass and molest women in New York in the summertime.
