Big bombs are cool

They do have a catchy tune: "Yalla ya Nasrallah, we will screw you inshallah, we will send you back to allah, with all the hezbollah". Yes, it rhymes. Apparently, big bombs, blowing up buildings and fighter jets are cool in Israel.

They have been hacking Lebanese TV and playing that video for the Lebanese to watch. Most humiliating for the Hezbollah must be to see those Israeli women soldiers, especially that fighter jet pilot at the end who is taking off to blow up some more Lebanese civilians. I really liked that. Great psychological warfare. That is the only upside to Tsahal I can think off.

Contemplating stupidity

I hate it when intellectuals claim to have a "clear and unbiased" view of events, especially in the case of the situation in the Middle East. There is quite enough people claiming the correctness of their view in that area, and adding to that mass does not solve the problem. How dare they have such certainty in the truth of their analysis. I would think a decent intellectual life would lead one to have less confidence in one's ability to understand and take account of everything. Not to mention applying to oneself one's learning on the behavior of other; more stupid than stupid is thinking that one is immune from stupidity, especially after observing so many stupidly self-confident people going astray.

Then they complain they are shunned or made irrelevant. Maybe they could be a bit more humble and also have less reverence for some "power" they make responsible for everything and still wish to 'advise' in order to influence decision making. Whoever said intellectuals are meant to be "guiding lights" whose role would be to generate truth and then report it back to "power". How deceitful. What a sell-out. Intellectuals have their own power and don't need to defer to any power other than their own. Maybe they could actually engage into the formation of public opinion and, rather than bypassing the democratic process in the belief of their duty or right to do so, participate in that process fully. Oh but I forget, their only valid interlocutors are the people in 'power'. Won't get very far that way.

HezBullAh

I wonder why that is I was so happy when I learned Hezbollah was able to launch strikes on big cities in Israel with big fat 100kg explosives. Finally, the playing field seems to level a bit, no longer will Israel be able to strike at Lebanon and remain unpunished. Maybe they will think a bit before bombing civilians. And maybe the Israelis should take some swimming lessons.

People tell me I am being ignorant and as long as I don't live there then I shall shut up. No way, I shan't. Those who live there are completely blinded by hatred, and I better trade ignorance for hatred any day, thank you very much. I am sure I have a much clearer view of the situation from here than in Israel where people have lost any patience with any rational thought. And anyway, there is no chance I would ever go live in such a hot country.

The way I see Israel is like a bull constantly annoyed by mosquitoes who loses his temper from time to time and then goes thrashing around futilely blinded by his fury. Or better yet, I see Israel as the bull in a corrida, with the whole world cheering along every time banderillas are planted into his shoulders. The frustration and resentment of the Israelis is all part of the show.

I can't wait for when the Israelis realize they will never be at peace and just let go and go on a new diaspora. Except there is not much of a way out once you enter the arena. Anyway, once this all is finished, I doubt they will get much respect for messing up their whole country and all its surroundings. Talk about a failed state.

See you next year.

Yahoo! News - Bush: Iraq Bombers 'Are Having an Effect': "'Now I would call the results mixed in terms of standing up Iraqi units who are willing to fight,' Bush said in a candid assessment.’There have been some cases where, when the heat got on, they left the battlefield. That's unacceptable. Iraq will never secure itself if they have troops that, when the heat gets on, they leave the battlefield.' What is needed, he said, is a better military command structure."

Sorry, Bushie sweety, but no one wants to die for your puppet government in Iraq. Sorry, but only Americans are stupid enough to go die in your crusade against the Muslim world. And then, only for good money and because there are no opportunities left for them in the US. That is the funniest shit: The US sending its niggers to kill sand niggers, niggers against niggers to protect the interests of the white man. Mwah ah ah, die, idiots, die. Slaves deserve no pity.

I wish for the reinstatement of the draft so that you too coward whiteys get butchered to death in the streets of Baghdad. I do have one wish for the New Year: bringing Baghdad to New-York, Fallujah to Houston and Najaf to Los Angeles. I want to see gore onto their posh streets, I want to see what their blood looks like, I want to see them burn and cry and flee scenes of horror.

I wish for the worst year in the history of the US, I wish for its humiliation, I wish for its final castration. I wish for the demise of all its leaders, for the spreading of unrest across all the Middle-East, for economic crisis and recession in the whole of the Western World, for crushing depression and the presence of death in all US households, furthermore, I also wish for the shattering of all your hopes and the breakdown of all that keeps you alive. I hope all of you get to suffer and lose precious ones next year. I hope that next year is the real beginning of your PERSONAL downfall.

Read this and all this will happen to you, yes you who read this, and the plague of my curse will spread like a wildfire in your cities and in the countryside, you will bring some of my vengeful spirit everywhere you go, it will devour your brain and your gut and your heart. I wish for the black liquefaction of your insides, I wish for your bones to rot within, I wish for your eyes to go blind and your legs to go frail, I wish for fevers and hallucinations, I wish for nuclear radiations, I wish for chemicals and bombs and explosions, I wish for fire and fantastic lucubrations.

I hope many of you die, I wait for the announcement of your deaths, one after the other, and I will rejoice every time I read about ill fate striking any of you and any of those you are close to. That is my hate, and my hate overtakes you all. DIE NOW and you will spare yourself this next year of agony. Farewell and adieu, nothing will stop the flow of my sentences. The spell is cast; you ARE resting powerless in my lap, my trap, my claws sharp, my bite scathing, and my words like a keen sword ready to cut the paper my pen used to run across.

This I swear to you: nothing will soften my heart, I will not release any feeling of love into this world, I will leave this world to consume itself in hate, I will make it even worse and even more unbearable as you will listen to my piercing laugh, my piercing laugh of joy at seeing you humiliated and downtrodden, at seeing you unprepared for the calamities that will fall upon you, at seeing the flames, the internal hell burning into your eyes, at seeing the blood surging from your neck, your head rolling, its eyes still alive bulging with tears and impotent rage.

Yes, next year will be a year of learning; next year you learn what you taught the world. Do you hear my crystalline laugh of pure pleasure at this thought? Pure pristine laugh liberated by a powerful expectoration of all the mucus that obstructed my voice. My voice. Regained, stronger, clearer than ever before. My voice reaching to the deep end of the atrium. LISTEN. Next year is my voice overtaking the world. Don't go looking for me here: I am here, next to you, in front of you, surrounding you, hatching all the perverse events that affect you. DEATH. I hold your skull in my hands; feel the pressure of my fingers onto your temples? This is me, this headache is ME, that loss of feeling, it is ME. Shhhhhhhh. Shhhhhhhh. I am here to STAY.

Reinstate the draft

I get really amused by all those college students from well to do families who get so panicky that maybe the draft will be reinstated.

"Oh boy! What the hell? Horror! I may be asked to take responsibility for the policies of my own country!"

They much prefer having chicanos and negroes taking care of their dirty business, killing innocent people abroad and stealing their possessions.

I wish the draft was reinstated. That way, those cowards who don't have the balls to serve their country wouldn't let that country put them into harm's way.

Right now, those idiot college students simply don't care about the war in Iraq. Nobody they know is there. Only those chicanos and negroes who used to swipe their street and brush up their park. Not anybody they would talk with, much less interact or forge friendship with.

Anybody who opposes the draft is worth no more than those old people who cheered at the beginning of operations in Afghanistan, or who vowed revenge after 9/11.

It is much easier to be patriotic when your blood will not be shed. This is why citizenship should be reserved to soldiers, and old people excluded from civil life.

Terrorism is one way to make those people conscious of the consequences of their vote and acts. I say "terrorism". This is a misstatement. I meant "bringing the war onto people’s doorsteps". Terrorism is always bad, of course. I would never justify it under any reason...

Well, at least, we are on the right track: instead of using foreign regimes to impose its rule on the third world, the government commits itself directly in the Middle-East.

No matter how low class the people it sends there, it still is more costly than fomenting civil wars and supporting fascist regimes.

Conclusion: If you oppose the war, join the army.

I hate you all

I caught Apocalypse Now yesterday, again, and even though I don't feel the pic gives enough room to the Vietnamese P.O.V., I got a flash back to my basic allergy to war. That barfy spot where they pull in a boat and blow away everybody on board just because a girl jumped to protect her puppy...

That kind of scene is happening all the time in Iraq and Afghanistan, and everywhere bloody Western imbeciles are involved. I say "Western", I think "US", but let's be fair here; any fucking aggressor with superior technology and wealth gets the same hatred from me.

<-- Yeah, good job, I bet that guy will enjoy his new freedom in liberated Iraq. Brainless, just like Bush and the whole of his Nazi clique.

It really scares me shitless when I see so many Joes somehow proud of entering the army, or becoming "intelligence analysts", or getting to work for the defense industries. Those idiots are actually proud of themselves. I know some of those people, they gradually become more and more detached from reality, and soon you can't make anything of them. They become killer robots. Eh, I can understand there is a need for such killers to defend a country, but being proud of belonging to that group is really beyond me.

I can't stand advertising for army positions, for example, where they portray such jobs in glamorous fashion, underlining the high-tech armament or the excitement of combat. How ugly and remote from reality can you get?

<-- See that picture? This is the real Pieta, our world's Pieta, not some kind of fucking religious fanatic getting crucified 2000 years ago for your viewing pleasure, dickwads.

Ugh... those people should be gotten down to earth. Maybe if they got their house blown off, their wife raped and their relatives killed, maybe then would they understand. It is so disgusting to see those ugly SS/GIs in Iraq so puffed up about their swell tanks, powerful bombs and super rifles. They are so eager to try those weapons on some new targets, so excited at the precision of their missiles... puke.

I also am grossed off by all those hypocritical war-watchers. They profess horror at the conflict, but learnedly comment on the tactics used, and get all keyed up by how Iraqis may or may not be able to blow off some more fucking GIs. They comment on the ratio of Iraqi death to US death, make projections, compare that to Vietnam... To them, this is like football.

Don't you idiots fucking realize you are part of the game? You enjoy all this. You get a kick from seeing all your predictions realized. You don't give a damn about Iraqis. Fucking cretins, you are condoning all this. I hate you all.

You would think the Poles learned that dismembering a country was not very acceptable to its people, but no, here they are taking a part of Iraq in the same way as Stalin and Hitler shared Poland in 1940, or Russia, Austria and Prussia shared it in 1815.

Ah, good luck to the Polish people! I am curious to see how the previously oppressed Poles will withstand the attacks of the presently oppressed Iraqis. If Iraqis are as fierce in their battle to establish an independent state as the Poles were for centuries, then there is going to be a lot of blond haired dead bodies in the Iraqi desert.

I guess that as the Pope's country and the most fiercely catholic state in the world, they see it as their duty to participate in Bush's crusade against the Muslims. How do you say Saladin in Polish? Oh well, they will soon learn.

This is a placard that was put on the walls in the streets of occupied France, when the German forces were ruling it during WWII, a war that Hitler had declared against communism. It was part of German propaganda against those it called 'terrorists' and 'criminals' who were sabotaging the railways, leading attacks against German troops, organizing networks of spies to give information to French forces abroad and to the Allies who were going to liberate France and Europe. They were hunted down by German forces, arrested, executed. They were labeled as enemies of the French people, and indeed, their actions resulted in many civilian deaths - those who were executed by Germans as reprisals. While they were originally patriots of the right, they were soon joined by communists and anarchists after Hitler broke his alliance with Stalin, and this was also exploited by Germany to discredit them in the eyes of the French people - communism was not very popular at the time, until the Liberation where people were thankful to the USSR for having liberated Europe along with the US. They were also labeled as 'apatrides', people without a country, because indeed many came from other European countries, and many were Jews or Gypsies, people who were persecuted by the Nazis because of their religion and way of life.

Now, we regularly get told those who fight against the US in Iraq are 'terrorists', 'criminals', and the US administration says many of them come from foreign countries and adhere to bad religious beliefs and backward customs. They also say those 'terrorists' are not there to help the Iraqis, that they hurt the chances for peace and reconciliation, that if they stopped attacking the US, then the US would finally be able to give the keys over to the Iraqi people and grant them freedom and self determination, because the US is there to help the 'real' Iraqis. Oh, if only those 'terrorists' could understand the US is a force of good and wants them to be happy...

The question is: How do you call those who fight against the US in Iraq: resistance fighters, or terrorists?

Disclaimer: I am not making a direct comparison between Hitler's Germany and Bush's United States. I am not supporting fundamentalism. I don't think indiscriminate attacks against civilians are ever justified (and by the way, French resistance never killed civilians indiscriminately). I am also not saying the situation is the same in occupied France during WWII and occupied Iraq during Gulf War II. I am merely proposing some basis for reflection, which was brought about by the fact that many Germans were very surprised after WWII to learn what the rest of the world thought about them, their ideology and their actions, and many were genuinely not aware of the atrocities perpetrated by their government. You don't want to live with such a shame over you.

For American occupiers:

Cameraman = good

Rocket propelled grenade launcher = bad

Ref: http://www.motherjones.com/news/dailymojo/2003/34/we_529_02c.html

For Iraqi resistance fighters:

UN = good

US = bad

The truly sad thing is that both sides knew exactly what they were doing.
